Current Research: Municipality Reform and the Local Cultural Institutions
From December 2005 until April 2006 The Nordic Cultural Institute has completed a study of the many problems and questions
which the adoption of the municipality reform raises with regard to museums of art and cultural history in Denmark.
The study has been led by NCI's Head of Research, Peter Duelund.
Beside an analysis of the impact of the reform on the museums in the region Salling-Fjends and the western part of the
Limfjord area, the concluding report discuss and evaluate future challenges for the museums in Denmark in the light of
the current developments.
The report, Museum Skive i Limfjordens regionale museumssamarbejde (Museum Skive in the Regional Co-operation Between
Museums in the Limfjord Area), has been composed in co-operation with:
- Senior Research Associate, mag.art in History of Art, Vibeke Petersen.
- Senior Research Associate, ph.d., Trine Bille, Copenhagen Business School and The Danish Institute
of Local Government Studies.
- Research Assistant, stud.mag, Troels Malte Borch, Department of Cultural Studies and the Arts,
University of Copenhagen.
